Centre for Newcomers:

(CFN) has been a key resource for immigrants and refugees of all nationalities in Calgary. Ukrainian Help Line:

The Alberta government has launched the Ukraine Help Line to provide assistance to Ukrainian evacuees settling in our province. If you have any inquiries about the services and supports offered by the province to Ukrainian newcomers, please get in touch with the Ukraine Help Line:

  • The Help Line offers support in English, Ukrainian, and Russian languages.
  • Operating hours are from 8:15 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, except for statutory holidays.

Additional Important Resources and Links

The ALIS website is a government of Alberta resource that covers everything from finding accommodations and work, setting up a bank account, to obtaining a health care card. There are also answers to questions about childcare, education, transportation, the legal system, recreation and more.
