Hello! My name is Marie and I am from Quebec. I moved to Calgary 5 years ago and recently graduated from Mount Royal University with a Bachelor's Degree in Childs Studies with a Major in Early Learning and Child Care and a Minor in Business.
I started working with children as a babysitter when I was 12 years old and have continued throughout my life, starting professionally as an extra-curricular animator at elementary schools leading activities. I have experience in Summer Camps, Early Childhood Settings, before and after school programs, and curriculum programming.
I love to explore new art forms, different physical activities, and new experiences. Anything that pushes me to think creatively and outside of my comfort zone makes me happy and content.
The best part of working with children is seeing the "ah-ha" moment in their faces when they understand something new or figure out a solution to a problem. I love supporting through their thinking process and working on their strengths and interests. It is a rewarding, fun, and ever-changing career and I am excited to work with TOPP KIDS.

I was born in South Korea and in my family, we had three boys and we always played outside together. That is why I became very active, energetic, and athletic. Following in my father's footsteps, I studied civil engineering. After graduation, I came to Canada to improve my English and it did not take much time to fall in love with Canada because of its cultural diversity. It was a great benefit for me to experience various cultures in one country. Although I majored in engineering, I was always interested in early childhood education. That is because I wanted to make a contribution to our society by helping children become responsible adults. So I studied Early Child Education in Toronto and completed the course in 2016. My goal is to introduce various cultures to children, support their development, and positively guide their behaviors. In addition, maintaining a safe and healthy environment will be my top priority. Finally, every child has different needs and it will be my responsibility to meet their needs.

I have co-taught baby ballet classes, coached U12 rugby, and worked as a camp counselor at an overnight summer camp! I love to play rugby, train, and do crafts like crocheting or friendship bracelets in my spare time. I am empathetic and accepting, and so excited to meet you all!

Hello! I am from Punjab, India and I moved to Canada in 2017. I graduated from Sheridan College in 2019 with my diploma in Early Childhood Education. I love working with kidsand have been and Educator since 2019 in Ontario, Saskatchewan, and now here for 2 1/2 years in a daycare program. I am now living in Chestermere and I love it here!
I grew up in a small town called Prince Rupert BC. When I turned 9 years old my mom signed me up for singing and guitar lesson at a studio called Ring System Studios taught by the one and only, Ian Lihou. I excelled at this for the 8 years that I was a student, singing in front of big audiences, starting a all-girls band called "Nobody Told Rachel". Once I turned 17 Ian offered me a position as his partner in teaching at the studio which I of course accepted. I got to watch kids have the same excitement and experiences that I did but from a different point of view, a proud teacher.
I was a part of the music community my whole life, it gave me so much purpose and enjoyment, but one day I realized I had gone as far as I can musically in Prince Rupert.
I recently left my home town. I thought I could live there forever, that there was no need to explore the world.
Then I met my long-term partner Zakk, he opened my mind to the possibilities outside of Prince Rupert. When we met I knew he had no intentions of staying in Prince Rupert long-term so I had a decision to make. With his support and guidance, I managed to make the right decision and move with him to explore what else may be out there. Now that I've done it, I know how much I needed it. Although I miss family and friends, moving here has given me a new sense of freedom and adventure.
Luckily my immediate family like my Sister and Brother (Makayla and Damian) and my Mom and Dad, (Deanna and Ron) live in Edmonton. My extended family like Grandparents, Aunties, and Uncles still live in Prince Rupert but I go back to visit as often as possible.
I have always loved working with people in general but kids more specifically, I like hearing their ridiculous stories and getting to act like a kid again myself. There is so much to learn for both of us, kids and adults, so to me, life really just begins with them.
Hello families! My name is Rena and I am from Italy.
I completed my first degree in Midwifery (2012) where I learned the art of bringing forth new souls into the embrace of humanity. Then I joined the International Association Of Infant Massage (IAIM) and worked with parents and toddlers to promote the development of cognitive, emotional, and .motor skills in kids and teach the importance of active listening and non-verbal communication.
In 2019 I graduated in Pharmacy and got the wonderful opportunity to collaborate with school students through Health & Prevention programs and group counseling. The children were encouraged to share fearlessly their problems, assume responsibility for their actions, and were persistently praised for each goal they achieved. Being outdoorsy, I have always aimed to enrich little ones' exploration skills and nurture their social interactions by utilizing the outdoor environment as a year-round classroom and I firmly believe that by fostering the above-mentioned qualities, I can help every child to become, one day, a confident, compassionate, and responsible leader!
Hello, My name is Ms. Danielle and I recently moved from Ontario to Calgary. I have been an educator for over two years and i have enjoyed creating excellent memories for children to excel in their interests and passions.
I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Jamaica. In my spare time i enjoy reading, hiking, and exploring Calgary and other part of the world. My goals for your little ones is to provide an environment that is safe and inclusion.
I am so excited to meet you all.
Hello everyone!
My name is Paige, born and raised in Calgary, I am excited to return to my home city now that I am a graduate of MacEwan University with my Bachelors of Child and Youth Care.
During my studies, I have worked with children, youth, and families, with a focus on mental health, developing community connections, and using creative arts as a therapeutic medium. I see myself as a life-long learner who loves to explore and grow, this is precisely the reason I love working with children and youth: I get to experience the same joy of learning as I support them in learning and growing and I learn just as much from them too!
Curious and adventurous, I love being hands-on with my work, especially when it comes to using arts and creativity; an artist and a musician, I spend most of my free time painting, sewing, practicing songs on my accordion, or playing the occasional video game.
I hope that with my creative nature, I will be able to develop strong connections and foster fun, memorable experiences with everyone at TOPP KIDS!

Hi, I'm Ryann. I just moved to Calgary this year after living in Airdrie most of my life. My interests have changed a lot through the year and I have found myself really intrigued with childcare and child development. Since I was little I wanted to be a teacher, but during high school, my interests steered towards medicine and the human body, which led me to St. Francis university to study health science. With the love and support from my family my career path is coming back around to working with children, following after many of my family members. I have always been an athletic individual and love to exercise, I am so excited to share my interests and start this journey with you!

Hi! I’m Megan! I have been working with school-aged children on and off since 2014. I started at a 7-day overnight summer camp that I attended myself for 11 years. Since then my passion for childcare only grew. I’m an Alberta born and raised small-town girl. I’ve lived most of my life in Morinville, just North of Edmonton, where I was working in a gym daycare for the last year. I’ve lived in Calgary previously and just moved back in May and I am thrilled to be back in the city that I consider home. My time at the gym daycare made me realize that my true calling was childcare. I am so excited to continue working with children and be able to watch and participate in them growing into themselves as awesome little humans!

"I believe that every person has greatness within and can perform at an exceptional level once they understand how to self-manage their own performance and are given the right tools. My purpose is to help grow each and every industry professional and have them find their greatness within, so they can have a successful career and change lives while significantly contributing to the success of their company and community.
Growing TOPP KIDS Out of School Clubs / Foundation for over a decade has given me the opportunity to personally work within the Early Learning Care sector, aligning myself with sector professionals, advocates and organizations. Through this involvement, I have found a way to create a new network for Early Learning professionals to gain the tools they need to find their greatness within. We have called our newest initiative ELCC & Community Development.
It is this experience coupled with my knowledge of service management, corporate training, business management, growth systems, and my own sector-specific professional development that allows me to provide a completely unique learning experience for all Early Learning professionals.
I am deeply passionate about delivering exceptional results for our industry, our professionals, their businesses, and the children they mentor. In the Early Learning community, I currently also sit as Chair on the SACDA Board, Chair the Alberta School Age Conference, and am the founder of the Lights on Afterschool Alberta initiative."

Meghan graduated from Mount Royal University in 2013, obtaining her Applied Bachelor of Child Studies Degree and Children’s Mental Health Certificate. When she first graduated Meghan had no clear idea of exactly what she wanted to do or what direction she wanted to go in. All she knew was that she had a passion for working with children and that she wanted to be able to make a difference in children’s lives, to be a role model and mentor to them while still having a ton of fun! Meghan says she is happy to have found TOPP KIDS, where she is able to fulfil what she has always wanted to do. "This year will be my sixth year at TOPP KIDS and I continue to see myself grow and learn along with the company, children and families. TOPP KIDS feels like family to me and that’s all I hope for with anyone who walks through our doors"!
The first 12 years of a child’s life are foundational in creating the morals, values, and self-esteem they will carry with them for the rest of their lives. Providing a safe creative and nurturing environment for children to explore, create and discover who they are and who they long to become has always been my passion. We are all a hidden treasure longing to be known and every child deserves to be seen that way and be appreciated and loved for exactly who they are. It is Chelsey's life mission to allow exactly that.
She began her journey with children working youth summer camps where she learned a foundational relationship to learning through play, community, and nature. Chelsey then continued in an integrative environment for children with special needs where again a foundation of community and play was deeply rooted in the progress of each child and the community. Having a background in Montessori teaching where children are encouraged to learn through natural play and self-exploration, the deep need and importance of leadership and self-ignition became paramount for a child to truly understand and treasure who they are. After a foundation of learning with younger children, she came to love the passion and creativity school-age children have. The way they allow themselves to truly explore and allow their inner selves to blossom.
"I am proud to say I have committed the last 15 years to working with school age children and excited my journey has led me to work and lead with the children, families, and team at TOPP KIDS."
Courtney has been working with children for over 10 years and has a distinct passion for providing children the best opportunities to thrive in their environment. Every child has a unique gift and profound potential for greatness. Children have the unique gift of teaching the ones around them through their life experiences, because of children Courtney has learned so much. “A child can teach an adult three things: to be happy for no reason, to always be busy with something, and to know how to demand with all his might that which he desires.” ~ Paulo Coelho. It’s only her wish that she can do her part in providing children the best opportunities for growth, development, learning, joy and passion.
Courtney began her work with children in Toronto, Ontario as she worked in a before and after school program while attending college for early childhood development. Following school, she moved to British Columbia and later Saskatchewan working in the field of early learning with children ages 1-12. Courtney then moved to Calgary, Alberta where she went back to her passion of working in out of school care. Since living in Calgary, she has been the coordinator of several before and after schools as well as an early learning and childcare coach to educators in the field.

Having worked in Early Learning & Childcare for over 25 years, Leslie experienced firsthand the incredible effect of early academic exposure and the power of play, imagination, and natural exploration in young children.
In the years that followed, she worked to modify her own child developmental approach, one that would not impose on the child’s natural desire to explore, play, and learn by experimenting with the environment. She then came up with her Play, Grow, Laugh & Learn model.
In 2012, Leslie had unfortunately been diagnosed with Lupus and her son Cody stepped in to continue building on her dream.

Hi there! My name is Shannon Heinrich and it is a pleasure to meet you!
My journey into the ECE field began when my son was young and I had a private day home in Kitchener Ontario. We moved to Calgary in 1998, it was the best decision ever!
I graduated from Mount Royal University with my Early Learning and Child Care diploma in 2000, and I have been in the field for over 28 years in a variety of roles such as Program Director, Facilitator and Program Manager. My passion is working with children and building relationships with teams and with families.
I am a happily married gal with a 28 year old son, a step daughter and our fur baby Rosie the cat. In my spare time, I like to entertain friends and family, take a nice long drive through the mountains and go camping when we can.
I look forward to getting to know the amazing TOPP KIDS team and families as well!
I began working in the early childhood education field in 2011 and I have had the opportunity to work in several different roles including Before and After School care, as a Preschool teacher, and in a management/leadership role. I love getting to know the children and their families and have found that I learn from them just as much as they learn from me. Working with children is inspiring to me because I enjoy seeing the world through their eyes, it allows me to rediscover the joy and magic in this world. When I am not working, I can be found building things in the woodshop, hiking or camping out in the mountains, or paddling across a lake with my husband and daughter.
I am so excited to be joining the TOPP KIDS family and the new adventures ahead!
