Maggie is a dedicated early childhood educator with a passion for fostering growth, curiosity, and confidence in children. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Learning and Child Care, along with a minor in Psychology, from Mount Royal University. As a certified Level 3 Child Care professional, she brings over seven years of experience to TOPP KIDS.
Maggie’s journey with TOPP KIDS began in 2020 as a practicum student, and since then, she has taken on various roles including Active Play Coordinator, Room Lead, and Acting Program Coordinator. Her experience shines through in her commitment to child development, creative program planning, and building a strong sense of community. She believes that everything is rooted in relationships and that we all share a special interconnectedness, and that we all have something to learn from one another. Maggie leads with kindness and empathy, ensuring every child feels valued, supported, safe, and empowered to express themselves.
This year, Maggie’s goal is to build meaningful relationships with families and children, while bringing new, creative ideas to the program. She is deeply grateful to be part of such a supportive community and for the trust families place in her each day.
Outside of work, Maggie enjoys all things crafty, exploring nature through hiking, and staying active at the gym. You will often find her reading a book on the couch with her mini dachshund Willow! She embodies the importance of play at every age, and reminds herself and others that play isn’t just for children, it’s essential for lifelong well-being.
