Our Program
TOPP KIDS Out Of School Club at Heritage Heights School is a vibrant, kid-driven club where children connect, explore, and grow together. It’s a place that feels less like child care and more like a community—where friendships form, ideas come to life, and kids have a real voice in what they do each day.
Guided by our PLAY, GROW, LAUGH & LEARN philosophy, our programming is emergent, meaning it’s shaped by children’s interests, curiosities, and strengths. From creative S.T.R.E.A.M. projects and art studios to hands-on life skills and interest-based Kids Clubs, children help co-create the experience, keeping every afternoon fresh, engaging, and meaningful.
Physical literacy is woven naturally into our days through active play and movement, reflecting the energetic culture of Heritage Heights and aligning with Alberta’s Active Afterschool guidelines—supporting confidence, teamwork, and healthy bodies in fun, accessible ways.
Leadership is a core focus of our program. Through our Jr. Leader Program, children are encouraged to step into age-appropriate leadership roles—helping plan activities, mentor younger peers, model positive behaviour, and build confidence as capable leaders within their community.
Our Youth Community Facilitator Framework further supports social-emotional growth, helping children learn how to manage emotions, collaborate, make responsible choices, and build strong peer connections.
At Heritage Heights, TOPP KIDS is a place where kids belong, lead, and leave each day feeling proud of who they are and what they’ve contributed.
Our program is not just for those who need care but for every family that wants to see their child grow outside of school during those critical hours. Why waste time at home playing video games when there are so many fun things to do at TOPP KIDS?! Check out some of our daily PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS.
