Our Program
TOPP KIDS Out Of School Club at Meadow Ridge School is a welcoming, purpose-driven club where children are encouraged to discover who they are, build confidence, and contribute meaningfully to their community. Our program reflects Meadow Ridge’s belief in engaging hearts, heads, and hands—supporting social-emotional growth, critical thinking, and hands-on learning in a fun, inclusive environment.
Guided by our PLAY, GROW, LAUGH & LEARN philosophy, our programming is emergent and child-centred, shaped by children’s interests, strengths, and curiosities. From creative S.T.R.E.A.M. explorations and collaborative projects to life skills, reflection, and interest-based Kids Clubs, children actively participate in designing their experience and taking ownership of their learning.
We place a strong emphasis on well-being and belonging, creating a safe space where children feel seen, supported, and valued. Through movement, outdoor play, and active experiences aligned with Alberta’s Active Afterschool guidelines, physical literacy supports resilience, confidence, and healthy development.
Leadership and responsibility are woven throughout the program. Through our Jr. Leader Program, children are invited to model positive behaviour, support peers, help care for shared spaces, and contribute ideas that strengthen the club community—mirroring Meadow Ridge’s focus on doing your best and leaving spaces better than you found them.
Our Youth Community Facilitator Framework further supports children in developing empathy, emotional awareness, collaboration skills, and responsible decision-making—helping them grow not just as learners, but as caring members of their community.
At Meadow Ridge, TOPP KIDS is a place where children feel they belong, discover their strengths, and grow into confident, capable contributors.
