Closer to Home will be using the Teaching Family Model during this presentation which will provide strength-based, evidence-based approaches to be used by caregivers to address youth’s challenging behaviours
This presentation will allow for caregivers to understand the who, the how and the why we find ourselves in situations with children who struggle with challenging behaviours and what we do to regulate OUR own behaviour, to allow for us to regulate, reconnect and reflect on the behaviours with those around us.
Participants will leave this presentation with a solid understanding of how the principles of Learning Theory, Trauma, and regulation impact the decisions and behaviours of the children we serve.
