Our Program
TOPP KIDS Out Of School Club at Maple Ridge School is an innovative, curiosity-driven club where children are encouraged to imagine boldly, ask questions, and bring ideas to life. Designed within a STEM-focused school community, our program blends creativity, inquiry, and play to support confident, capable learners.
Guided by our PLAY, LAUGH, LEARN & GROW philosophy, our programming is emergent and responsive, meaning activities grow from children’s interests, ideas, and strengths. From hands-on STEAM challenges, design and building projects, coding-inspired thinking, and experimentation to drama, literacy, creative arts, and interest-based Kids Clubs, children are active participants in shaping their learning experience.
We intentionally align with Maple Ridge’s motto, “Imagine, Inquire, Innovate, Inspire,” by encouraging children to think critically, test ideas, collaborate with peers, and reflect on outcomes—celebrating both success and problem-solving along the way.
Leadership and confidence-building are embedded throughout the program. Through our Jr. Leader Program, children take on meaningful roles—supporting peers, helping plan activities, modelling responsibility, and developing leadership skills that prepare them for future learning and life.
Active play and physical literacy balance innovation with wellness, supporting healthy bodies, teamwork, and focus in alignment with Alberta’s Active Afterschool guidelines.
Families and community are essential partners in our program. We value strong relationships with Maple Ridge families and the school, and we love creating opportunities to connect through shared experiences and community events.
