Coventry Hills School

Our Program

TOPP KIDS Out Of School Club at Coventry Hills School is a vibrant, inclusive club where children and families from many cultures, backgrounds, and lived experiences come together to learn, play, and grow. Our program is built on the belief that strong family connections and cultural respect create the foundation for confident, thriving children.

Guided by our PLAY, GROW, LAUGH & LEARN philosophy, our programming is emergent and child-driven, shaped by the interests, voices, and cultures of the children in our care. From creative S.T.R.E.A.M. projects and cultural exploration to life skills, leadership opportunities, and interest-based Kids Clubs, children help co-create a program that reflects who they are and what matters to them.

We intentionally create space for culture and identity, encouraging children to share traditions, languages, stories, and celebrations from home. Families are valued as partners, and their knowledge, experiences, and perspectives help shape our community and programming.

Active play and movement are woven into each day, supporting physical literacy, teamwork, and well-being in ways that are inclusive and accessible to all children, aligned with Alberta’s Active Afterschool guidelines.

Leadership is nurtured through our Jr. Leader Program, where children are supported to mentor peers, model kindness, assist with activities, and build confidence as leaders within a diverse community.

Our Youth Community Facilitator Framework supports social-emotional growth, helping children build empathy, manage emotions, develop positive relationships, and navigate differences with respect and understanding.

At Coventry Hills, TOPP KIDS is a place where children feel seen, families feel welcomed, and culture is celebrated every day.

Our program is not just for those who need care but for every family that wants to see their child grow outside of school during those critical hours. Why waste time at home playing video games when there are so many fun things to do at TOPP KIDS?! Check out some of our daily PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS.

Madi

Program Coordinator

I grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan. I spent most of my days playing sports and going on road trips. After graduating from Outlook High School I went to Lakeland College in Vermilion and graduated with my Level 3 in Early Childhood Education. I moved to Elk Point and became a pedagogical leader where I got to help the staff build the best space for those kids. I moved to Saskatoon and took on a B&A program of 30 children. That quickly grew into 110 children. In my spare time, I like to go on road trips, play sports, or paint. I love working with kids for many reasons but my favorite one would be how they remind me that I need to slow down and enjoy the little things.
