Our Program
TOPP KIDS Out Of School Club at Bayside School is a heart-centred, community-focused club where kindness, connection, and growth guide everything we do. Our program is intentionally designed to help children develop not just skills—but character—so they grow into caring, confident, and responsible people.
Guided by our PLAY, GROW, LAUGH & LEARN philosophy, our programming is emergent and relationship-based, shaped by children’s interests and the values of the Bayside community. Through creative projects, S.T.R.E.A.M. experiences, service-inspired activities, Kids Clubs, and meaningful play, children learn how their actions impact others and the world around them.
Kindness and love are modelled, practiced, and celebrated every day. Children are supported to build empathy, show compassion, resolve challenges respectfully, and include others—skills that help them become strong friends and thoughtful citizens.
Community involvement is a key part of our program identity. Children are encouraged to give back, care for shared spaces, and participate in activities that strengthen their connection to Bayside School and the surrounding community.
Leadership and responsibility are nurtured through our Jr. Leader Program, where children learn to lead with kindness, support peers, and take pride in contributing positively to their group.
Active play and physical literacy support balance and well-being, helping children regulate emotions, build confidence, and work together in alignment with Alberta’s Active Afterschool guidelines.
At Bayside, TOPP KIDS is a place where children are loved, kindness is lived, and good people—and citizens—are shaped every day.
