Children’s Services has partnered with Respect Group, an organization committed to preventing abuse and bullying, to offer training designed to support a safe and inclusive child-centred environment. Respect Group on-line training provides tools to individuals who work with children to help prevent bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination.
All child care program staff in Alberta are now able to access this training free of charge. The training is voluntary! The information provided in this training will better equip child care teams to recognize and address disrespectful behavior when it occurs. It is highly recommended that all child care program staff complete the training as part of our shared efforts to provide a safe and respectful child care setting for all children, families, early childhood educators and other staff and stakeholders.
Those who complete the “Respect in Childcare” training will receive a certificate of completion that your program can highlight as an important step in fostering a positive child care environment.
