McKenzie Lake School

OPENING SEPTEMBER 2019!

Our Program

At TOPP KIDS McKenzie Lake School, we foster a close-knit, high energy family. We believe it is our mission to mentor each child’s growth, creativity, and social and emotional development. Using our PLAY, GROW, LAUGH & LEARN model, we provide lots of opportunities through our S.T.R.E.A.M. programs (Science, Technology, Reading & wRiting, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), literacy activities, nature exploration, life skills, leadership and Kids Clubs. We also support healthy lifestyles through our physical literacy initiatives based off of the new Alberta Active Afterschool guidelines.

Our program is not just for those who need care but for every family that wants to see their child grow outside of school during those critical hours. Why waste time at home playing video games when there are so many fun things to do at TOPP KIDS?! Check out some of our daily PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS.

Full-Time Kindergarten Program

In addition to our regular before and after school programming, TOPP KIDS is proud to offer full-day kindergarten programs for students at our McKenzie Lake School. Our team has created a program that compliments what they’re learning in their classrooms, while still PLAYing, GROWing, LAUGHing & LEARNing with weekly themes based on their interests.

Meghan Labossiere

Program Coordinator

Meghan graduated from Mount Royal University in 2013, obtaining her Applied Bachelor of Child Studies Degree and Children’s Mental Health Certificate.  When she first graduated Meghan had no clear idea of exactly what she wanted to do or what direction she wanted to go in.  All she knew was that she had a passion for working with children and that she wanted to be able to make a difference in children’s lives, to be a role model and mentor to them while still having a ton of fun! Meghan says she is happy to have found TOPP KIDS, where she is able to fulfil what she has always wanted to do. "This year will be my sixth year at TOPP KIDS and I continue to see myself grow and learn along with the company, children and families. TOPP KIDS feels like family to me and that’s all I hope for with anyone who walks through our doors"!

Stacey Burridge

Room Lead - OOSC Program

Staci has been working with children and youth for over ten years and adores working with elementary-aged children. Playing with the kids, and learning about the world all over again through their eyes is what drives her every day. Stacey focuses her practice based on the needs of every individual child, their strengths and uniquenesses.

Born and raised in the Calgary area, Stacey loves the winter, camping in the summer, and spending as much time as she can with her immediate family, who all live very close. Working with kids, and bringing fun and empathy to her interactions with them every day is her passion!
